Step 01 · Purpose & size

Which pod is right for your day?

Choose the main activity first. A booth for quick calls may need a different layout from a workspace used for longer sessions.

How will you use your pod?

One person · Short sessions

Calls & video meetings

Start with a compact phone booth. Check the work surface, seating and space for your laptop.

Focused desk work

Look for a layout with a suitable desk and chair. Prioritise working space, ventilation and comfort.

Meetings & collaboration

Start with a meeting pod. Confirm usable capacity with the proposed table and seating in place.

Before you shortlist: confirm how many people will use the booth at once. External dimensions alone do not show how comfortably everyone will fit.

Step 02 · Costs & inclusions

Compare the complete installed cost.

Office pod prices in Australia depend on the model, configuration and site. Ask for an itemised quote so you can compare the same scope.

Booth & fitoutFreight & deliveryInstallation & site needs

The booth itself

  • Model, size and quantity.
  • Desk, table, seating and other fitout.
  • Colours, fabrics and finish upgrades.

Getting it ready to use

  • Freight to your postcode and final location.
  • Installation and any site preparation.
  • GST, exclusions and any additional charges.

Helpful tip: share your budget early. Ask each supplier to confirm what is included, what is optional and what you need to arrange separately.

Step 03 · Acoustics & comfort

Look beyond “soundproof”.

The word “soundproof” does not tell you a booth’s measured sound reduction. Compare evidence for the exact model and configuration being quoted.

Ask about sound

  • Is acoustic test information available for this model?
  • What test method and configuration were used?
  • Does it suit the surrounding noise and the conversations you expect to have?

Think about everyday use

  • Is ventilation suitable for the intended occupancy and session length?
  • Do lighting, power and connections suit your tasks?
  • Is there enough space to sit, work and move comfortably?

Tell the supplier if you need privacy for sensitive conversations. Discuss the proposed location and your expectations before selecting a model.

Step 04 · Furniture & finishes

Make the inside work as well as the outside.

Choose the furniture layout first, then coordinate colours and finishes with your workplace. Options and inclusions vary by model.

Start with the essentials

Confirm your desk or table size, seating, power access and any equipment you plan to use. Check that the layout supports your main activity.

Then personalise the space

Review the available exterior colours, interior fabrics and finish options. Record the final selections in your quote.

Step 05 · Location & delivery

Check the space — and the way in.

Measure both the intended location and the delivery route before ordering.

  • Floor space: width, depth and surrounding circulation.
  • Height: ceiling and the model’s required overhead clearance.
  • Door opening: space to enter and operate the door.
  • Access: doors, corridors, lifts, stairs and unloading arrangements.
  • Services: power and installation requirements.

Have accessibility requirements? Review the entry and interior layout with your project team and explore accessible booth planning.

Plan beyond delivery: confirm lead time, who coordinates installation, warranty terms and after-sales support. If your needs change later, ask about booth relocation.
